Tyreek Hill Has a Message for NFL Fining Him for His “Backflip Selfie” TD Celebration

Tyreek Hill‘s imagination knows no limitations when it comes to touchdown celebrations, and his bank account is undoubtedly impacted each time.

The wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins is a beast on the field and a genius when he enters the end zone after scoring.

On Sunday, Hill demonstrated a brand-new celebration during the Dolphins’ 42-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers. He went toward someone who was already filming him near the back of the end zone after catching a 22-yard touchdown pass. Hill took the phone, performed a full backflip on it, then handed it back and joined his teammates in celebrating.

Tyreek Hill’s take on NFL fining him

Hill’s use of a prop during his celebration led to him being accused of taunting. In Week 5’s victory over the New York Giants, as Hill flashed a peace sign as he ran into the end zone, he was also called for taunting. He said

“I know the NFL is going to fine me for it. It’s worth it though… Every time I step on the field, I want to make it memorable.”. But I don’t play this game for money. I play this game for passion.”

The league office will undoubtedly take offense if a cell phone is used as a prop in a celebration, but Hill had a message to deliver about that following the game.

Hill recorded six receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown in the entire contest. He now has 814 yards for the year after six games, an NFL record. Earlier during the month, Tyreek had revealed he would retire and be a porn star. Whatever it may be, Tyreek is never boring.

The Dolphins scored 35 points in a row after falling behind the Panthers 14-0. They would triumph, 42-21.
