Superstar wide receiver Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders appears to be much more driven and enthusiastic than the man we saw on Monday night, who was obviously unhappy and upset.
When Adams crushed his helmet in fury during the Raiders’ 26-14 loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday night, it made headlines. Adams was wide open for a touchdown, but quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo missed it. The top wide receiver ended the night with just one reception for 11 yards. He had spoken about his frustration later on.

Following the Raiders’ most recent defeat, general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels were fired by owner Mark Davis. Antonio Pierce, the linebackers coach, was named the temporary head coach, while Champ Kelly was named interim general manager.

Although Adams won’t acknowledge it in public, the Vegas offense, which is ranked at the bottom of the league in every significant measure, will only gain from McDaniels’ departure. This is true even with Adams, Josh Jacobs, the current running champion, and other excellent receivers like Hunter Renfrow and Jakobi Meyers present.
Of course, Davis is hoping that the most recent adjustments will enable the Raiders to play to their full offensive potential. One significant move has already been made by Pierce, who started rookie Aidan O’Connell against the New York Giants on Sunday.
