The tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers will return off injured reserve. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Pittsburgh Steelers plan to activate tight end Pat Freiermuth off of injured reserve. They anticipate having him play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 11.

After a relapse in his hamstring injury, Freiermuth was placed on injured reserve and didn’t train until Week 7. The next two days of the week he participated fully in practice, but heading into the weekend he was marked as questionable.
Now he’ll play in the Browns game.

Despite not having played since Week 4, Freiermuth still leads the team with two touchdown receptions. In four games, he has caught eight passes for 53 yards.
Kenny Pickett, teammate and QB for steelers spoke about Freiermuth’s return ,
“(Freiermuth) is another (target) that defenses have to respect with the way he works in the middle and (does) different things for us to really help the whole offense out,”
The Steelers do not need to make a matching move in order to activate Freiermuth because they have two open roster spaces.
