A future Hall of Famer and nine-time Pro Bowl offensive Linesman is joining the Seattle Seahawks.
The 41-year-old Jason Peters is being signed from Seattle’s practice squad to their active roster, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This Sunday at SoFi Stadium, the NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams will host the Seahawks (6-3).

Peters joins a youthful offensive line led by Damien Lewis and Charles Cross from Seattle. Barring a run of injuries, Peters is not likely to be a starter, but he will at least give a Super Bowl contender a lot of leadership and championship experience.
Peters was an outstanding player at Arkansas before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills in 2004. Before the Bills elected to use him as an offensive lineman, Peters actually played tight end at Arkansas.
Nine Pro Bowl nods, three First-team and four Second-team All-Pro selections, a spot on the NFL’s 2010 All-Decade team, and of course a Super Bowl 52 championship ring later, Peters has put together an unlikely Hall of Fame-like career.
In January, Peters will turn 42, which is a testimonial to his extraordinary longevity and dependability. Before being moved to Philadelphia, where he played from 2009 to 2020, Peters was a member of the Bills from 2004 to 2008.
Additionally, Peters has played for the Dallas Cowboys (2022) and Chicago Bears (2021).
The Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are tied for first place in the NFC West going into Week 11. Next Thursday night, the two adversaries will square off in the third Thanksgiving game.
