It is reasonable to assume that Al Michaels was excited to watch two of the best teams in the league play against one other last night, but that was not the case, especially in one play.
You wouldn’t know it from Al Michaels’ play call, but Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman caught a 10-yard touchdown from Lamar Jackson with 23 seconds remaining in the first half against the Bengals.
The great pundit was completely unenthusiastic as he saw Lamar Jackson scurry forward and find Rashod Bateman for a crucial score.

With a victory over Joe Burrow and Cincinnati on Thursday night, Lamar Jackson and Baltimore assumed command of the AFC North. At M&T Bank Stadium, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 34–20.
When it came to stopping Jackson in the air, the Bengals had few options. Against Cincinnati, Jackson completed 264 passes for 264 yards and two passing touchdowns. The two-time Pro Bowl player had a passing rating of 121.3.
With an 8-3 record, Jackson and the Ravens are still atop the AFC North rankings. The Ravens’ next game is a Sunday night matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.
