In the Midst of the Michigan Sign-Stealing Scandal, Jim Harbaugh Is “Keeping Tabs” on a Possible Job Opening With a Surprise NFC Team

Jim Harbaugh in his former team

Given the NCAA’s ongoing investigation into sign stealing at the University of Michigan, Jim Harbaugh is currently the subject of severe scrutiny. Furthermore, there are now rumors that he is considering a job in the NFL.

The head coach of the Wolverines is reportedly monitoring the situation with the Chicago Bears because, should Matt Eberflus fail to turn things around quickly, the team may find itself without a head coach. This information comes from the NFL Rumors account on X.

Given that Josh McDaniels was fired by the Raiders on Wednesday, there is already a vacancy in Vegas. Naturally, Harbaugh and will be intriguing to watch who Mark Davis comes in.

Both teams are connected to the 59-year-old. From 1987 to 1993, he was the quarterback for the Bears. From 2002 to 2003, he coached quarterbacks for the Raiders.

Following the conclusion of the NCAA’s inquiry, the Michigan HC is anticipated to receive a substantial sanction. Due to recruiting infractions, he has already served a three-game ban this season and may decide he has had enough if more sanctions are imposed.

Reentering the NFL would not be a green light for Harbaugh because he is reportedly still subject to his sentence in the NFL. But after that, he’d be able to look forward without needing to peer over his shoulder.
