Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions had a fantastic game on Sunday, leading his team to victory.
Goff gave head coach Dan Campbell credit for his choice to go for it on a crucial fourth down in the Los Angeles Chargers game on Sunday.
Less than two minutes remained in the fourth quarter when the Lions maintained their offense on the field on a fourth-and-2 play from the Chargers’ 26-yard line because the game was tied and there were no more timeouts. Goff moved the chains with a 6-yard pass to Sam LaPorta, and Detroit won 41-38 after running out the clock and kicking a 41-yard field goal.
Following the game, Goff made an offensive comment about that particular time that got the reporter laughing.
“Ballsy,” Goff remarked.
“It paid off. We love when he puts us in those positions to make those plays. He’s got balls of steel, and today, he showed it.”

The Lions, who now stand at 7-2, scored 533 total yards through offensive means. Their defense, though, gave up 421 yards to be destroyed.
With no interceptions and 23 completions on 33 attempts for 333 yards and two touchdowns, Goff concluded the game with a perfect record.
