One of the Raiders’ seasoned defensive backs could be cut as soon as this week. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Las Vegas Raiders intend to cut veteran cornerback Marcus Peters.
The 30-year-old, a two-time first-team All-Pro wide out, was likely playing his final game for the Raiders after being benched before halftime on Sunday. Following a botched tackle, interim head coach Antonio Pierce benched Peters during the second quarter of the team’s 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Peters apparently gave "Minimal effort" on some plays, dating back to costly plays in the losses against the #Bears and #Dolphins this season.

At halftime, the two had a little conversation on the sidelines. It seems unlikely that Peters will rejoin the squad for the Week 14 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.
