Eight months since his maiden professional loss to Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, Ryan Garcia will return to action against Oscar Duarte Jurado on December 2 at the Toyota Centre in Houston.
Organized by Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, Garcia seems to be having a tough time with his promoters. In the latest press conference, Garcia went off on Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya for predicting the youngster’s career-end.
While ‘KingRy’ is still in contract with Golden Boy Promotions, there can be a split very soon. That said, Ryan Garcia needs to return to the win column to grab another world title shot. In an active career of 23-1, the 25-year-old holds 23 KO in his favor. But Ryan Garcia is yet to become a world champion like his contemporaries like ‘Tank’ Davis, ‘Dream’ Haney, Teofimo Lopez, and others.
Akin to Garcia, his opponent has also lost only once in his entire career so far. Oscar Duarte (26-1-1) has more professional experience than Ryan Garcia. Hence, it will be interesting to see how ‘KingRy’ performs after the set-back against ‘Tank’ Davis on his in-ring comeback.
