Josh McDaniels, who previously served as the head coach of the Denver Broncos, failed to live up to expectations during his second stint as a head coach with the Raiders. Despite having a talented roster, McDaniels was unable to bring out the best in his team and failed to achieve the desired results.
The Raiders management had high hopes for McDaniels when they hired him, but unfortunately, his tenure with the team was marred by poor performances and disappointing results. The signing of Jimmy Garoppolo, a highly-touted quarterback, was seen as an opportunity to turn things around, but it proved to be the last straw for McDaniels.
As a result, the Raiders management made the difficult decision to relieve McDaniels of his duties. While it is never easy to part ways with a coach, the team’s performance under McDaniels made it clear that changes needed to be made.
