In Week 11, the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns. While Deshaun Watson’s season-ending surgery continues to dominate talk, Cleveland also has other injuries to be aware of.
The Browns were without their two starting offensive tackles going into Week 10 due to injuries. Dawand Jones, a rookie who started in Week 2 against the Steelers, has been their starting right tackle.
Jones is now under scrutiny. With a knee injury that kept him out of action during Week 10, Jones is still out as the Browns start their practice week. Wyatt Teller, a guard for Cleveland, was also sidelined due to an ankle ailment.
James Hudson To Start ?
The Browns will probably start James Hudson at left tackle, Geron Christian at right tackle, and Michael Dunn at guard if Teller or Jones are unable to play. Dunn’s opportunity for a 21-day comeback from injured reserve has now opened.
In Week 2, the Steelers’ pass rush proved to be the difference as T.J. Watt recovered an Alex Highsmith forced fumble and returned it for a score to seal the victory. They may now be watching three offensive line backups, including Hudson and Christian, who gave up a total of eight pressures and a sack in Week 10’s game against the Ravens.
Before deciding how serious their injuries are, Cleveland will have two more sessions. If neither Teller nor Jones get better, they may need to replace their whole offensive line in order to protect their rookie quarterback.
