Not a good way for the Indianapolis Colts to start a vital game against the Las Vegas Raiders that they absolutely have to win.
Reports state that Colts tight end Drew Ogletree was taken into custody on Friday for alleged domestic abuse in Hendricks County, Indiana.
Ogletree was accused of “two level six felonies,” according to the ESPN story. There were two charges: one for domestic abuse that resulted in mild physical harm and the other for abuse that was done in front of a minor under the age of sixteen.
His mugshot was made public when he was checked into the Hendricks County jail.

According to information from the arrest, when police arrived at the scene, they discovered a hurt woman in her bedroom. She reported that during their disagreement, Ogletree “body slammed” her into the ground. Her injuries eventually required her to be sent to a nearby hospital.
Tuesday night was the event, and it was reported that Ogletree’s son was there when it happened. Ogletree may spend up to 2.5 years in jail if proven guilty. Since then, the Colts have issued the following statement regarding the situation:
“We are aware of the disturbing allegations involving. The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
This season, Ogletree has made 12 appearances and has nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns. With two weeks left, the Colts are now positioned as the final wild card. Indianapolis now has the tiebreaker over all three of those teams despite having an 8-7 record that is tied with those of the Texans, Steelers, and Bengals.
