ESPN Makes a Significant Broadcast Change When Molly Qerim Isn’t Present on “First Take”

This week, sports fans are disappointed because, without Molly Qerim, they will have to find someone else to watch on First Take.

The host of First Take revealed on Thursday that she will be taking the holidays off. Before her holiday trip to Connecticut, she said she was “15 out of 10” excited.

With Qerim away for Christmas holiday, Cassidy Hubbarth took over the popular sports debate show First Take on Friday, and the show looked entirely different.

“This is my last day before vacation,” she said.

“I’m going to be off for a week. I’m gonna go see the family right after the show, I’m so excited.

With normal lead analyst Stephen A. Smith absent as well, First Take already appeared a little odd.

He is currently filming sequences for the ABC soap opera General Hospital in Los Angeles. He was replaced on the panel on Thursday and Friday by Shannon Sharpe.

Hubbarth started her broadcasting career with Fox Sports South and the Big Ten Network.

She received her Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2007. In August of 2010, Cassidy began working for ESPN as a studio anchor and host for NBA, NCAA, and college football. Hubbarth will have no trouble hosting First Take because she has done it before.
