Sunday was the continuation of Jake Browning‘s record first four starts as an NFL starter. The league announced that Browning is the only player in history to pass for 1,000 yards with a 75% completion percentage.
Although Browning had a difficult first half on Saturday, he played brilliantly over three straight touchdown drives in the fourth quarter, which enabled Cincinnati to overcome the Vikings 27-24 in an unexpected comeback.
Since the beginning of Week 12, only MVP favorite Brock Purdy has outperformed Browning in terms of EPA+CPOE composite.
The NFL has been tracking QB starts since the 1950 season.
Just one QB in that time has 1,000+ passing yards and completed over 75% of his passes in his first four starts.
