After Losing to the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round, C.J. Stroud Speaks Out

C.J. Stroud in action

The talk of the league has been Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud‘s unusual path to NFL fame.

The Houston Texans’ divisional round loss to the Baltimore Ravens has ultimately put an end to the rookie quarterback’s career. In Saturday’s 34-10 loss to the Ravens, Stroud completed 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He had three nine-yard rushes.

In an interview with reporters following the game, Stroud stated unequivocally that the team had established the groundwork and standards and that it was now time to continue developing.

Stroud had an unsatisfactory finish to his first season, but overall he was brilliant, throwing for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns against five interceptions in 15 regular season games. That makes it very clear that he is the starting quarterback for the team.

Although it was mocked for the Texans to win their last game in 2022 in order to lose out on the first overall pick, it is obvious that this was the best thing that could have happened to them.
