Rob McElhenney is a diehard fan of the Eagles and he couldn’t wait to grab his Emmy award before hopping onto a streaming platform to watch a playoff game.
Rob was caught streaming the playoff game while at the Emmy Awards before winning for his Wrexham docuseries.
Nothing could stop Rob from streaming and enjoying the playoff game.
With the Eagles in Tampa to face the Buccaneers in Monday’s Wild Card playoff game, McElhenney was pictured watching a pre-game show by his wife Kaitlin Olson at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
‘Who schedules the Emmys the same night as the @eagles,’ McElhenney asked on social media when reposting the image. ‘#gobirds #FlyEaglesFly.’
The Philadelphia native is diehard fan of the Eagles, but was actually at Monday’s award show for his love of another team: Wrexham A.F.C.
McElhenney was awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program for his docuseries about the team, ‘Welcome To Wrexham,’ which is fortunate, seeing as his Eagles suffered a season-ending loss to the Bucs.
Since Rob McElhenney couldn’t be absent from the Emmy Awards, he had to sit comfortably and stream the game while waiting to be honored on the night.
