Patrick Mahomes, the standout quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, possesses many talents, but speed isn’t one of them.
It’s almost become a ritual for NFL Network to play his 40-yard sprint from 2017 over current candidates during the NFL Scouting Combine. Mahomes went so far as to ask the network not to use it this season.
Sadly, his wish was not granted, and he responded just to vent his frustration:

When Mahomes was leaving Texas Tech seven years ago, he ran a 40-yard sprint in 4.80 seconds. Though Tennessee defensive tackle T’Vondrae Sweat finished with a 5.27, Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske defeated him by 0.02 seconds.
Mahomes is one of the finest quarterbacks at making plays with his legs despite his lack of speed. In Super Bowl LVIII, he had a few crucial rushes that helped the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers.
