During his drills on the first night of the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, projected first-round choice Demeioun “Chop” Robinson made an impression, particularly in the 40-yard dash. Don’t tell Robinson that the defensive linemen often run a slower 40-yard sprint on the first day of the combine, despite it being the most anticipated drill. Robinson, a 6-foot-2, 254-pound athlete, performed an incredible 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds.
After a review, the time was lowered by one hundredth of a second from the original 4.49 seconds.
A comparison to Micah Parsons, the outstanding defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys and alumnus of Penn State, is inevitable when a defensive lineman for the Nittany Lions runs a time like that.
4.49u for DL Chop Robinson. 🔥
Absolutely flying.

NFL Network compared Robinson’s sprint to those of Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers and Will Anderson Jr. of the Houston Texans, both of whom were selected in the top five of their respective rounds, even though Robinson didn’t beat Parsons. Furthermore, Robinson outran the two.
Robinson’s 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds was the fastest time ever recorded by an edge rusher weighing 250 pounds or more, demonstrating how unusually rapid this speed is for a player of his stature.
At the combine, Robinson showed off his other skills by jumping 10 feet, 8 inches in the wide jump and 34½ inches in the vertical leap.
