The Dallas Cowboys‘ CeeDee Lamb observes as Justin Jefferson trades rumors with the Vikings in order to gain “steam.”

In the NFL, big-money deals are largely dependent on a domino effect; frequently, top players at each position (as well as their agents) wait to see what other top players receive before launching at what they hope will be an even higher salary.

How would Vikings handle Justin Jefferson with CeeDee Lamb eyeing a new contract

The Minnesota Vikings are now debating how to handle their star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, which means Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb, another top receiver, has his eyes and wallet wide open.

The amount has long been speculated to be about $30 million APY, which equals Tyreek Hill’s salary in Miami and makes him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history. Naturally, the NFL cap has now increased to $255.4 million. Furthermore, as we’ve made clear, those who believe that teams may more readily pay their players as a result of the jump are missing the mark.

Since the players will demand bigger portions of the pie as a result of the growth.

Had the Vikings taken the initiative against Jefferson, they would have avoided the cap news. PFT and others are making that critique, and the Cowboys have also heard it in relation to contracts for Dak Prescott and other players.
