Following his ejection during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ victory against the San Antonio Spurs, Donovan Mitchell posted something on X.
On Saturday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the San Antonio Spurs behind a game-high 31 points from Donovan Mithcell. But following the game, there were other reasons why the All-Star guard was trending on social media.
Mitchell and Spurs player Zach Collins got into a fight that resulted in Mitchell being disqualified in the last minute of play. After Collins illegally set up a screen and gave Mitchell a clip to the head, the Cavaliers guard shoved Collins in return. However, Mitchell wasn’t overly thrilled with his handling of the circumstance.
This is his post on Twitter that went viral :
I ain’t really like how I backed up 😂😂 https://t.co/4bsdD9NDDc

Mitchell went after Collins right away, backing up and waiting for a teammate to hold him back. Mitchell was reached by Max Strus, Damian Jones, and the others, but it took them a few seconds. As he humorously mentioned in his message, it was obvious that he wasn’t happy with the way he handled the circumstance.
The game was abandoned for both players. Collins was called for a second flagrant foul, and Mitchell was substituted out for “escalating the situation.”
The fact that the Cavs emerged victorious once more is what matters most in this situation. While reintegrating Darius Garland and Evan Mobley into the offense, the squad is playing some of its best basketball.
