With a spectacular performance by none other than Lil Wayne, Shaquille O’Neal turned the event into his annual “Shaq Fun House” and staged the biggest and wildest pre-Super Bowl party in Las Vegas!
At the XS nightclub on the Vegas strip, the legendary former NBA player opened the Friday night celebration. Thousands of people flocked to see Shaq’s incredible DJ jockeying talents and then Wayne’s upbeat performance.
It was time to bring out the hip hop icon, AKA Wayne, but first Shaq, sporting some serious jewelry around his neck, kept the house music going until Diplo took over as DJ.
Wayne played some of his best-known songs, including “John” and “6 Foot 7 Foot.” And the crowd was so enthralled that many used their phones to videotape the entire performance.
In a poignant moment, Shaq broke down in tears discussing the recent unveiling of the new statue honoring the late NBA great Kobe Bryant.
Shaq expressed his hope that Kobe could have visited the statue and delivered a remark because he thought the ceremony was really moving. As you are aware, Kobe perished in a Calabasas, California, helicopter crash in 2020.
