Shannon Sharpe has detailed his conversation with comedian Mike Epps following the heated back and forth on social media.
Shannon opened up about their conversation while speaking to Ochocinco on “Nightcap” and touched on the kind of stuff Mike said that hurt him.

He explained that he heard what was said and wanted to have a conversation with the comedian to clear things up. Sharpe mentioned that they had already texted and had plans to meet and talk in person during an upcoming event in Indiana. However, Sharpe made it clear that he was upset about the lies being spread and how it affected his reputation.
Shannon addressed Mike claiming that Shannon was trying to get Katt Williams to talk negatively about him. He then discussed the length of his “Club Shay Shay” interviews, mentioning that they often go for at least two hours. He explained that he likes to let the guests speak and doesn’t interrupt them, allowing viewers or listeners to make their own judgments. He emphasized that he doesn’t agree or disagree, but merely presents the guests’ truth for the audience to decide.

One of the main issues that Sharpe addressed was the allegations made by Epps about his sexuality. He expressed his hurt and confusion as to why someone would lie and spread false information. Sharpe also touched on the broader issue of how the Black community tends to react when successful individuals earn wealth, alleging that they are accused of selling out or being gay. Sharpe stressed the importance of not making assumptions and spreading baseless rumors about others
