Victor Wembanyama is tired. A lot . The NBA schedule is taking a toll on the San Antonio Spurs. It’s been a long season for the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are 10-43 after winning only seven of their previous 48 games following a 3-2 start.
Despite the Spurs’ youth, everyone is affected by the rigors of an NBA season, even Victor Wembanyama, the first overall choice. He said ,
“I feel fine. Our bodies are impacted,” “The challenge is … making those extra efforts; even though we don’t feel it, we jump a little bit less high and run a little bit less fast at the beginning of the season, of course.”
Spurs and Wembanyama’s NBA Fatigue struggle
Playing NBA basketball night in and night out has a physical component that should not be trifled with.
Furthermore, the Spurs are currently engaged in their “Rodeo Road Trip,” which involves them playing games far from home for extended periods of time, staying in hotels, and spending time away from their families. Although Wemby noted that it is noticeable, that aspect of the exhaustion isn’t always visible.
The Spurs’ challenge in the later part of the season is to keep improving and understanding how to play with one another. They will have a week off for the All-Star Break, which will allow them to return home and rest up for the last two months of the campaign.
The Spurs will meet the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night to resume their season.
