Now, the Wine and Gold have expanded their roster with the addition of a new player during this outstanding campaign. Guard Zhaire Smith of the NBA G League was signed by the Cavaliers on Sunday, the team announced. The deal is for ten games.

Cleveland has signed two players to 10-day contracts this season, including the 24-year-old. Pete Nance joined the team last month on a 10-day contract, but he has already joined the Cleveland Charge again.
Smith has had a good season thus far with the Charge. He has averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game in 36 combined Showcase and regular-season games. In addition, Smith’s field goal percentages are 54.3%, his three-point percentage is 40.4%, and his free throw percentage is 79.6%.
In addition, he contributed two points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals in the Cavaliers’ first three preseason games this season.
