The Chicago Bulls are expected to qualify for the Play-In Tournament once more after missing out on the NBA Playoffs the previous season. Part of the reason for that is DeMar DeRozan, the veteran wingman.

Coby White and DeMar DeRozan
Even if his efficiency and scoring have decreased, he has continued to play a vital role in a Bulls team that has been severely damaged by injuries to many of its rotation players, including All-Star guard Zach LaVine and promising forward Patrick Williams, whose seasons have been cut short by foot surgeries.
DeRozan is still going strong at the age of 34. He leads the NBA in minutes played per game with 37.8, and he is second in total minutes played behind teammate Coby White. Coach Billy Donovan of the Bulls, who recently paid respect to the six-time All-Star, is aware of all of these things.
Style of Play which is a throwback
DeRozan represents a true throwback to the bygone era of playing through discomfort and exhaustion in a time when load management was a concern for elite players. Over the past two seasons in the Windy City, he has played in over 70 games with just two absences. Donovan said,
“I respect where he comes from. He’s kind of an old-school mentality. Line up and play. ‘I did it my whole life. I love the game. I want to be out there as much as I can,’”
“What he’s been able to do and how he’s gone about doing it, in every facet, whether it’s communicating with the guys, being the same guy every day. Whatever I need from him, I go to him and communicate, and he does whatever you ask him to do. I appreciate the workload that he’s had to handle.”
2️⃣3️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ career points!
DeMar DeRozan becomes the 6th active player (35th in NBA history) to join the 23K points club.
