The Rams defensive tackle’s decision to retire didn’t exactly bother the quarterback for the Cardinals.
Hanging up the pads is one of the best defensive players in NFL history.
Aaron Donald, a defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, announced his retirement on Friday, following ten seasons. Look no further than Kyler Murray‘s response to Donald’s retirement to get a sense of just how much the player terrified opposition offenses.
The quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals initially wrote “THANK GOD” and a few emojis in response to Donald’s statement on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter.
Cheers to what’s next. Extending a big thank you to the Rams and all of the fans for your support over these last 10 years. Much love. 🍾🙏🏽💪🏽 pic.twitter.com/edGxkUYdLz

The Rams selected Donald in the first round of the 2014 draft. Throughout his career, Donald won three Defensive Player of the Year titles, eight first-team All-Pro honors, ten Pro Bowl selections, and one Super Bowl championship.

Throughout the course of his 20 career games, Donald had more sacks and tackles for loss (16 sacks) against the NFC West foe Cardinals than he did against any other team.
However, the fact that Murray and company will no longer have to deal with Donald allows them to exhale in relief.
