According to David Kaplan of ESPN100, the Chicago Bears are not considering any trade proposals for the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. According to him, the team has chosen to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams, which suggests that Justin Field will probably be traded.
After three NFL seasons, Fields, 25, has an 11-29 career record as a starter. Atlanta is his most likely destination, even though Kirk Cousins is widely desired by the Falcons.
Although Williams, 22, is regarded as the next Patrick Mahomes, there are many who doubt his drive for success given that he has already made $10 million in NIL deals.
Although Fields can scramble and get yards on the ground, he is a good quarterback and the Bears haven’t done anything to develop him.
"All the teams that had meetings with Caleb Williams said they were very positive and he really cares about football..
Most people that I've talked to believe that he's going at number one to the Chicago Bears" ~ @RapSheet #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/0WleSx0mYX

In Chicago, Caleb Williams’ future seemed dismal
Chicago is a storied team with a rich history that, like numerous others in the league, has given it a distinct culture, but they haven’t accomplished much in almost 50 years. Unfortunately, Williams’ future in Chicago is going to resemble Fields’ in many ways. As with Mahomes, who has a culture-setter in head coach Andy Reid, don’t expect instant success.
In the meanwhile, Fields, wherever he ends up, will most likely have a career year in 2019. For the soon-to-be veteran, it’s going to be a revenge tour.
