Travis Kelce speaks about Kenny Pickett
When discussing Kenny Pickett‘s offseason switch from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce made reference to “Bad Blood.” In order to make room for Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, two new quarterbacks in Pittsburgh, Pickett relocated across Pennsylvania.
Kelce stated on his podcast:
“He just can’t leave the state of Pennsylvania. He just can’t leave the state of Pennsylvania. Kenny and the Steelers, their relationship ended in a little ‘Bad Blood’. Kenny is saying he preferred to move on.”
After a stellar career at the University of Pittsburgh, where he finished third in the Heisman Trophy vote, Pickett, 25, was selected by the Steelers in the 2022 NFL Draft. In his 24 games as a starter for the Steelers, he achieved success.
Pickett is believed to have made the decision to quit the Steelers after discovering Wilson’s relocation to Pittsburgh a few days prior on social media. Fields will be Wilson’s backup, and the 35-year-old Super Bowl winner Wilson will start for the Steelers.
