Aaron Donald has received an intriguing invitation from Travis Kelce that, if accepted, would completely change the NFL. After ten amazing seasons, Donald, a great defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, revealed last week that he was leaving the NFL.
The three-time Defensive Player of the Year is among the league’s most dominant defensive players, but at thirty-two, he has chosen to end his career.
In a recent installment of their podcast, “New Heights,” Travis and Jason Kelce talked about the remarkable career of the potential Hall of Famer.
Travis Kelce gives an offer to Aaron Donald
The Chiefs tight end boldly challenged Donald to come out of retirement and win another Lombardi Trophy with Kansas City the next season during the episode. He said,
“Shout-out to AD, unbelievable career,” “If you wanna win one more Super Bowl, we’ll probably have some availability somewhere in December”
More than anything, Kelce’s offer was made in jest, and it’s unlikely Donald would accept it. However, if he did, the NFL would be rocked, and every other club aiming to stop a Kansas City three-peat in 2024–2025 would be in for a rough ride. Jason praised the ten-time Pro Bowler profusely and asserted that he is the finest defensive player of the past 10 years.
