The Boston Celtics, Led by Jaylen Brown, Win 8 Games in a Row

The Boston Celtics, who lead the NBA Eastern Conference, defeated the Detroit Pistons 129-102 to extend their winning streak to eight games. For the sixth time since the All-Star break in February, Jaylen Brown scored 33 points for the Celtics, while Payton Pritchard scored 20.

“He’s playing well-rounded basketball and it has been fun to watch,” stated Joe Mazzulla, the coach of the Boston Celtics, about Brown. With 56 victories against 14 defeats, the Celtics own the greatest record in the NBA. At Little Caesars Arena, Derrick White and Kristaps Porzingis scored 19 points apiece against Detroit, who were in last place and had 24 points from James Wiseman.

How’s NBA shaping up after this week ?

After defeating the Toronto Raptors 123-103, the Oklahoma City Thunder moved up to the top of the Western Conference, surpassing the Denver Nuggets, the reigning champs.

LeBron James scored 20 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and Anthony Davis scored 23 as the Lakers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 101-94 at home. In San Francisco, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Golden State Warriors 123–111. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 25 points, while Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam scored 26 and 25 points respectively for the Pacers.

With a second left, Jaren Jackson Jr. scored, giving the Memphis Grizzlies a 99-97 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama finished with 31 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and three blocks.
