Did Jack Jones Troll Patriots Supporters After Seeing the Mac Jones Video?

Jack Jones, a former cornerback for the New England Patriots, incited anger among Patriot Nation on Friday night with a post on X that appeared to criticize the team’s fan base.

Regarding how much happier former quarterback Mac Jones looks now that he is with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the now-Las Vegas Raiders cornerback hinted that the reason for Jones’ apparent happiness is not that he is no longer with coach Bill Belichick, who benched him, but rather the entire New England fan base.

The former first-round pick’s demeanor in a video that the Jaguars released on X was similar to his easygoing, carefree demeanor during his rookie campaign in New England. Jones jokingly admitted that he enjoys rapping and that, now that he’s out of New England, he could finally tell everyone.

Jack Jones happiness in Jacksonville knows no bounds

The Alabama product seems to be lot happier in Jacksonville, as evidenced by Jack Jones’ post on X, where the cornerback seems to be implying that the fan base was the issue rather than Belichick.

The 26-year-old, who appeared in five games for the Patriots prior to his release following Week 10, may not be alone in his opinions regarding the New England fan base. In a 2023 survey of 85 NFL players who remained anonymous, The Athletic found that Patriots fans tied for seventh place when it came to the most obnoxious fan base.

Jones has spoken his opinions against New England on multiple occasions since his release, including this Friday night post. Within a week of leaving the Patriots, the 2022 fourth-round selection yelled at Patriots supporters and reporters to “get off.”

In the meanwhile, Mac Jones took the opportunity to thank his supporters, coaches, and teammates in a letter.
