In terms of their playing styles, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady have each blazed new paths. They have left a whole new generation of quarterbacks wanting to follow in their footsteps and succeed. Fascinatingly, as the 2024 selection approaches, it becomes increasingly important to recall the spots at which some of the top players were selected. Furthermore, it’s fascinating to observe the extent to which the highest-paid players from particular draft rounds have benefited themselves.
A perfect illustration of how some of the NFL’s biggest performers have come from extremely low draft positions is Tom Brady.
Brady was chosen in the sixth round. The scouts who wrote up a pre-draft report on him had very well written him off. Brady, though, reached heights never before seen in the NFL.
Difference between Drafts of Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady
Rodgers, on the other hand, was a highly anticipated first-round pick. In actuality, he has accumulated more fortune than Brady throughout the course of his career. Rodgers has made $342 million to far and is still active in the game. Brady, on the other hand, has left the NFL after earning $333 million during his career.
Though Rodgers wins more money and draft picks overall, Brady has established himself as the greatest quarterback of all time.
The NFL’s all-time great, he has won seven Lombardi trophies in total—five with the Patriots and two with the Bucs.
By contrast, Rodgers’ record with the Packers is just one Super Bowl victory. It’s still quite improbable that Rodgers will surpass Brady’s record as he chases his next victory. It’s interesting to note that many of the other selections from the previous rounds have secured respectable contracts.
