Gervonta Davis had a lot to say after it was reported that Floyd Mayweather gave Ryan Garcia advice and praise after Garcia defeated Devin Haney.
Davis used to be on Mayweather Promotions but cut ties at some point before he beat Ryan Garcia himself.
While Davis still has a relationship with Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, his relationship with Mayweather seems to have hit rock bottom.
In the midst of the back and forth on social media, Davis stated that Mayweather was being held hostage in Dubai.

Even 50 Cent got into the beef by saying that if Mayweather needed some money to reach out to him.
Today Boxing Insider Rick Glaser said he spoke to someone in Dubai and confirmed that Mayweather is being held hostage.
Just got off the phone with my guy in Dubai, he told me that #Floyd #Mayweather is definitely being held by the Government court system there as he owes a substantial amount of money in Dubai. They take indebtedness over there very seriously. Was told the debt is #unassociated…

Glaser is known to not be a fan of Al Haymon’s Premiere Boxing Champions. Haymond is closely afflaited with Mayweather, so I decided to check with my own sources about the situation and this is what I was told by three different people who are familar with the situation.
Mayweather is indeed in Dubai and there was some sort of business deal that went wrong while he was there. Mayweather is not a hostage or being held against his will, but doesn’t want to leave the situation unresolved because he wants to be able to do business in Dubai in the future. If he was to leave before the situation wasn’t taken care of, it could affect his ability to come back and more importantly do business with some very rich and influential people in the future.
Mayweather should be back in the states next week.
