The WNBA has received an incredible amount of attention lately, in large part due to the Indian Fever selecting Caitlin Clark in the first round of the draft. Changes in the game’s perspective and logistics have also been prompted by one of the greatest players to come out of college in the history of the sport.
From security to welcome receptions, and everything in between, things have changed swiftly in the women’s association. The fact that teams are no longer required to fly commercially to other locations in order to face opponents on the road is one of the most intriguing adjustments.
Teams used to show up at regular airport gates and fly on Southwest, Delta, or other airlines. One of the biggest developments in the league is that certain teams can now travel in luxury on charter flights. But “some” is the crucial word.
Some teams haven’t even had the opportunity to routinely stretch their legs on a commercial trip, as demonstrated by a social media post featuring Caitlin Clark when her team was granted charter flight privileges.
The WNBA recently announced that players will fly on charter flights for road games. Breanna Stewart, who has two children with wife Marta, appreciates the new travel perk — as well as other benefits for parents under the current CBA. https://t.co/fOTurZ8LJK pic.twitter.com/qGv4vA5khj

Leaders have become more vocal
Breanna Stewart is among the greatest in the WNBA, having won two titles and two MVP awards. She should be treated equally with the other players.
Several players in the league, including Stewart, are not happy about the New York Liberty’s decision to forgo flying charter for their opening two games of the season in favor of other teams taking a bus.
Many people think that every team in the league will see change soon, but how long will it take? Since they have been in the WNBA for a number of years, elite players have discussed the issue without seeing a quick resolution.
