Tom Brady Is Reminded by a Former NFL Quarterback of Joe Montana’s Horror Show as a TV Commentator

Tom Brady is the only NFL player to have attained unquestionable GOAT status since Joe Montana. Brady is also following Montana’s career path by turning to commentary, just like his predecessor did. But some fear that Brady’s on-screen journey may not be as easy as Montana’s.

Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington, and Jonas Knox discussed Tom Brady’s most recent interview with Rich Eisen on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe. Brady was upfront and honest about his desire to provide a strong performance for Fox during the conversation. About how he will gauge his success and the hosts, he was brutally honest.

Can Tom Brady be a hit at broadcasting ?

Quinn, one of the analysts, wondered what the general public would think of Brady. He has a devoted fan base in Tampa Bay and New England, and on the one hand, he is the NFL GOAT. Thus, it stands to reason that he won’t face criticism even if his broadcasting is subpar. Quinn, on the other side, pointed out that TB-12 might face the same criticism as Joe Montana did. Quinn stated,

“But before Tom Brady there was Joe Montana who was the greatest of all time and yet it didn’t work out for him, for whatever reason. So I’m curious to see what the reaction would be, what the criticism will be…”

Tom Brady in his Netflix Special Roast

Brady is currently traveling the same path that Joe Montana once took. Sadly, it didn’t turn out well for him. After just nine appearances, the 49ers quarterback’s broadcasting career came to an end. He was hesitant to criticize players and sometimes found himself prevented from saying what he wanted to say. Brady Quinn believes that an opinionated TB-12 might encounter the same issue.
