If you thought Tom Brady was untouchable, think again. The NFL legend has admitted that his kids were affected by the brutal jokes made about his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bundchen during his Netflix Roast.
For those of you who missed it, Brady was the subject of a comedy roast on the streaming platform, where several comedians took shots at his personal life, including his high-profile split from Bundchen. While roasts are intended to be humorous and light-hearted, it seems that some jokes hit a nerve with Brady and his family.

In a recent episode of ‘The Pivot’ with Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark, and Channing Crowder, Brady revealed that his kids were affected by the jokes and that he had to have a conversation with them about it.
‘I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,’ he said. ‘I didn’t like the way they affected my kids.
‘It was the bittersweet aspect of when you’re doing something you think is one way and then you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way it affected the people I care about the most in the world.
‘It makes you in some ways a better parent going through it because sometimes you’re naïve.’
The former quarterback’s children weren’t the only ones upset with the roast with Bundchen said to be furious about being the source of the relentless taunting.
According to People, Bundchen was left fuming at the jokes about her and Brady‘s former marriage during the special, saying she ‘was deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show’.
So, the next time you watch a roast or read a celebrity gossip headline, remember that there are real people behind those jokes and scandals. And maybe think twice before laughing at someone else’s expense. After all, karma has a funny way of coming back around.
