Andy Reid Asked by Patrick Mahomes to Pardon Rashee Rice

Rashee Rice has been at the center of controversy surrounding the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs throughout the off-season.

After accruing eight criminal charges and a substantial amount of fines from an automobile accident on the Dallas highway, the wide receiver has been one of the main topics of discussion during the NFL off-season.

Rice is attempting to get back into the football flow and get ready for the upcoming season with the Chiefs after a lot of legal issues.

During the Chief’s OTAs, he said the following:

“I’ve learned so much from that. All I can do is mature and continue to grow from that. This is a step in a better direction for me.” “Accidents and stuff like that happen, but all you can do is move forward and walk around being the same person, try to be positive so that everybody can feel your love and your great energy.”

Andy Reid’s confidence in Rashee Rice

Inevitably, Andy Reid, the coach of the Chiefs, has had to summon Rice and Harrison Butker a lot because of their individual problems.

One of the things that Reid is mentioning is the shooting incident that Rice was allegedly involved in while attending SMU. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has unquestionably aided Rice’s case by sticking by him.

Mahomes remarked two weeks prior:

“It’s not just me. [We’re all] just trying to do whatever we can to teach him how to learn from his mistakes,”

“Obviously, that was a big mistake. You get to learn from it and make sure it doesn’t happen again and try to do whatever you can to be the best person you can be in society, not only for yourself but for the people around you. I think he is doing that. “Right now, we’re just going to keep trying to do whatever we can to get him on the right path, so that he can be a great football player, obviously, but we want to be a great person, too.”
