Caitlin Clark has been a major player in women’s basketball since her college days, and her debut campaign with the Indiana Fever has been no different. Despite having a fantastic all-around game, her shooting ability is what really makes her stand out. Even while she might not be the most effective player, her long-range shooting prowess is very astounding.
With his nearly superhuman ability to drain deep shots, Clark has demonstrated step-backs and side-steps way beyond the arc. Many questioned if she could play at this caliber in the WNBA, but she has definitely dispelled her doubters.
Clark’s long-range shooting has been so good that it has even surpassed some of the NBA’s best players in that area. She outperforms players like Klay Thompson, Luka Doncic, and Steph Curry.
In comparison, Curry only made 26% of his shots from 30 feet or beyond, while Clark is shooting about 35%. This presents a compelling argument for Clark even though it doesn’t prove that she is a superior shooter or that her range is greater than Curry’s. Although the size difference with the ball should be taken into account, Clark’s incredible accomplishment shouldn’t be diminished.
Fun fact: Caitlin Clark has been more accurate from 30+ feet this season than Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Luka Doncic#WNBA pic.twitter.com/ptmKdi27qP
