Conor McGregor Trolled for Going to Bellator Dublin

MMA fans were upset by Conor McGregor‘s latest visit at Bellator Dublin. Due to an undisclosed injury, the legendary Irish mixed martial artist had earlier declared his intention to retire from his UFC 303 match against Michael Chandler.

McGregor clarified,

“I picked up an injury before the press conference that required more time to heal than was available to me. The decision to postpone the fight was not made lightly, but one made in consultation with my doctors, the UFC, and my team.”

But McGregor now disclosed on Instagram that the injury happened during a workout when he wasn’t wearing all of his safety gear. He said:

“We had a lapse in concentration and engaged in a training session without wearing the full protective gear and I hit the toe off the elbow and broke the toe clean.” He stated that it will take “a few weeks” for the injury to heal, but he did not say exactly when he will return.

Even with his injuries, Conor McGregor was spotted cornering Irish mixed martial artist Sinead Kavanagh at Bellator Dublin. Fans questioned his attendance at the event in light of his recent injury, which prompted criticism. Disappointed with McGregor’s choice to attend the event, the supporters took to the comments section.
