The creator of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, shocked a lot of people when he revealed shocking news regarding his health: a cancer diagnosis.
The 47-year-old revealed the news when making an appearance on “The Dozen Trivia” on Wednesday night. He had a bandage on the left side of his neck. Portnoy said,
“A lot of pressure,”. “This is all that matters. We’ve been waiting for all season. I have cancer, by the way. No big deal.”
Nothing specific has been made public
The kind of the malignancy and the exact moment of his diagnosis are yet unknown. Portnoy confirmed on X that he had defeated the cancer after he made the news. He wrote,
“I did have cancer. I beat it,” . “It wasn’t the serious kind thank god. I can’t tell if [Rico] Bosco thinks cancer is funny or not.”

Bosco said he was surprised because he didn’t know about Portnoy’s health problem. The preview film for Wednesday’s episode of “BFFs Pod” had earlier revealed what appeared to be a cut on the same side of Portnoy’s neck, which was later covered by the bandage during the trivia show.
When Brianna LaPaglia, the host, questioned Portnoy about the mark on his neck, he told her straight out that it was cancer. The specifics of the care he received are not known to the public.
