Jason Kelce Blasts NFL’s dressing Policy

Athletes like Jason Kelce are scratching their heads in confusion over the long-running argument about NFL players’ appropriate travel apparel. The Eagles veteran, who recently retired, found the league’s insistence on suiting up before flights to be very perplexing.

When Jason Kelce recently appeared on Andrew Santino’s program, he moaned:

“You have to wear a suit and tie on every single plane ride, and you can’t wear jeans, you can’t wear tennis shoes. And like now it’s gotten to a point that they go like ‘let them wear tracksuits’ because nobody abides by the rules.”

It makes sense that Kelce finds the league’s stuffy travel dress policy offensive, particularly in this day and age where comfort is king.

According to Jason Kelce, NFL Players Were Never Allowed Jeans Or Tennis Shoes

Who, after all, would want to arrive at their destination wearing a constricting suit and tie for a cross-country journey, just to take it all off and change into practice clothes as soon as they land? Kelce said,

“I never understood the point of it,” “A lot of the teams have caved because this is just ‘what are we doing this for? It serves no purpose.”

It’s interesting to note that Jason Kelce is correct. What exactly is the justification for expecting athletes to put on their Sunday best attire only to board an aircraft and change into sportswear right away? The former All-Pro doesn’t agree with the league’s justification, which is that athletes travel for business, according to Kelce.

In a time when players’ comfort and well-being are (ostensibly) of utmost significance, Jason Kelce’s position on the topic of travel clothes seems obvious. Why, after all, enforce meaningless dress regulations when wearing comfy clothing instead seems like a much more rational course of action?
