As a member of the Duke men’s basketball team, Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick categorically denies using the N-word to refer to a woman, stating that the exchange never took place.
Former Duke student and novelist Halleemah Nash made the shocking accusation on social media on Tuesday, saying,
“I’ve only been called the N word to my face by a white man once in my life and it was on the campus of Duke University while I was doing work with the basketball team.” “And today he was named the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. What a world.”
The Los Angeles Lakers announced Redick as their 29th head coach on Monday. Redick is a 15-year NBA veteran and a former standout basketball player at Duke.
As of the posting of this article, the accusation had been viewed 10 million times since it was made on Tuesday at 9:10 AM on Nash’s account. In response to our request for information regarding the claim, Redick’s camp denied the claims.
