As the new season approaches, which begins on September 5, Travis Kelce is getting ready. Given that the Kansas City Chiefs are aiming for a three-peat championship, his excitement is understandable. But this might lead to a cordial argument between Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs.
On June 17 in Nashville, Tennessee, Kelce, George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, and Greg Olsen, a former tight end who is now a Fox Sports broadcaster, introduced the fourth edition of Tight End University. At the function, Kelce spoke to the aspiring tight end players and expressed his love for the position.
In a video that was uploaded by a fan page on X, Kelce gave an explanation of why he enjoys playing tight end. He said,
“The biggest thing I wanted to let all the tight ends here know is that we do have the best fu**ing position on the field,” “It is the best. And it’s the best because we’re all in open arms, we’re all the most relatable guys.
“We’re all the plumber, the utility guy, the landscaper, the electrician. You need a guy, we are the guy and that’s why I love playing tight end.”
Travis Kelce’s pivotal role
Kelce’s claim that the tight end position is the best might cause quarterbacks, especially Mahomes, to get into a little-hearted argument.
Though opinions on whether the tight end is the best position in football are divided, many agree that it plays a crucial role. Tight ends are vital to offenses that emphasis on passing as well as running because of their exceptional versatility.
