Davante Adams Could Play for the Jets This Season, According to Dan Orlovsky

Only a few days after Davante Adams categorically and resolutely referred to himself as a Raider and refuted any reports that he would be reuniting with Aaron Rodgers in New York, whispers persist that he is up for trade. Despite Adams’ agents’ denial, trade speculations are still circulating, and Dan Orlovsky believes Adams will play for the Jets this season.

Over the weekend, Aaron Rodgers voiced his desire to play with his former teammate, which sparked rumors that Adams was on his way to New York. His words by themselves were sufficient to confirm that as a given.

Will Davante Adams play with Aaron Rodgers ?

Adams, however, quickly shot down any such discussions by declaring that he would not be leaving anytime soon. Orlovsky said on ESPN,

“I think Davante Adams plays for the Jets this season…The only reason that wouldn’t happen would be if he feels bad about leaving Antonio Pierce, their new head coach.”

Orlovsky cited a number of reasons for his claim, pointing out that Adams was irritated the whole previous season. Last season, trade rumors didn’t start until the wide out was clearly irritated while waiting to play.

Orlovsky noted that there is still no quarterback in Vegas despite coaching changes. Furthermore, the analyst believes that the Jets have no excuse for not wanting Adams on their roster.
