Finally, after 13 arduous years and four NBA titles, Klay Thompson moved to the Dallas Mavericks from the Bay Area. The Thompson trade, which involved six teams, was formally confirmed by the Golden State Warriors, marking the first six-team trade in NBA history. Devin Booker offered his thoughts on Klay’s choice as past players and legends responded.

During the US Men’s National Team’s practice, star guard Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns discussed Thompson’s trade to the Mavericks. And D-Book’s response was as follows.
“It think it’s gonna take some adjusting. He’s one of those guys that you can’t imagine out of the jersey that he was drafted in. It’s a new opportunity for him. I’m sure he’s gonna take full advantage of it. So, looking forward to matching up against him in a different jersey. And he’s somebody that I’ve spoken highly about for a very long time.”

Klay Thompson in a Mavericks jersey would be odd
Fans and players alike were taken aback when Klay Thompson decided to leave the team that had not only chosen him but also brought home four rings. For Booker, too, it was a painful sight after a long decade filled with memories.
It would take some time for D-Book to get used to seeing Klay in a uniform other than the Warriors, he said. But even with this bold move, Booker was pleased and assured for Thompson.
Although it’s not a huge thing for players to swap teams in the NBA, the trade that sent Klay to Dallas is unprecedented. He was included in the unprecedented six-team trade that sent Josh Green to the Charlotte Hornets. The six teams who were a part of the transaction that sent Klay to the Mavericks are broken down below.
The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have acquired 5-time All-Star Klay Thompson and a future 2nd-round pick as part of a six-team sign-and-trade deal in exchange for Josh Green and a future 2nd-round pick.

He has the opportunity to start over because he will be playing for a new team. The All-Star player for the Suns expressed confidence that Thompson would make the most of his new teammates.
Given that they were in the same conference, Devin Booker and Klay Thompson have faced off multiple times. Not only have the two faced off throughout the regular season, but they have also clashed during the postseason.
