Well, folks, it looks like we have a juicy scandal on our hands involving none other than police bodyguard Mark Castillo and the wife of Arturo Cisneros, Laura Smargia-Cinseros down in good old Texas.
According to reports, Mark Castillo had been sending X-rated texts to Laura behind her husband’s back. The steamy messages were said to be so explicit that they would make a sailor blush. But things took a turn for the worse when Arturo stumbled upon these raunchy exchanges and all hell broke loose.

Can you imagine the sheer disbelief and anger Arturo must have felt when he discovered that his wife was engaging in such illicit behavior with a man who was supposed to be protecting her?
After he found out about his wife’s secretive relationship, Arturo called family members and the cops to report the affair.
‘Btw, you’re allowed to (censored) anywhere you want…hope that’s ok,’ Laura told the cop in one exchange.
Castillo replied: ‘You want me to thrust your (censored) while I’m (censored) your (censored)?’
‘YES…please,’ the married woman responded.
Arturo told KSAT Investigates that he first learned about their graphic texts on May 22 when he picked up his wife’s phone to look at appraisal documents.
When he looked at the screen, it lit up with text messages between his wife and the officer.
He recalled Laura ‘immediately’ jumping to her feet after he asked her who the man was.
‘And I knew something was wrong, so I ran into the bedroom, locked the door,’ Arturo said.
The blindsided husband said that he read a month’s worth of messages on his wife’s phone while locked in the room, before she banged on the door demanding he give it back to her.
While she angrily tried to get her cell phone back, Arturo called family members and 911 to report the affair.
When asked why he chose to call the police about his wife cheating on him, the distressed husband said he was ‘in shock.’
‘I just wanted police to show up. It doesn’t matter which number,’ he added.
Arturo said Laura soon decided to storm out of the home and that his sister-in-law and brother showed up just before police arrived.
Laura’s husband quickly connected the dots on who Castillo was, as he remembered seeing him at City Council meetings and a local restaurant, Las Palapas.
When police arrived, Arturo failed to mention officer Castillo and instead told a different story on what took place.
According to a police report obtained by KSAT, Arturo told dispatchers that Laura ran from their home after hitting herself. He then said that when she returned, she asked officers to look at her injuries.
Laura told police that her husband ‘reached behind himself’ before punching her in the eye and forehead, the report continued.
She later told KSAT that the police report was ‘inaccurate’ and ‘wrong,’ stating that she did not ask officers to inspect her face.
His sister-in-law, Patricia Cisneros, said: ‘The report itself, it lacks so many details. So many details.’
Although officers did not take pictures of the reported injuries, Arturo was arrested for misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury-married.
After the blow up, Patricia sent in screenshots of the texts between her sister-in-law and the police bodyguard.
The pair were texting while Castillo was working, as he blatantly mentions the police chief he’s supposed to keep a close eye on.
‘Mmmm, I wish I could slowly (censored) you,’ Castillo sent to Laura.
‘Stop. And lol you’re totally going to get me in trouble. My computer is open and they keep seeing you come up,’ she replied.
He replied: ‘Ok, make sure to erase your messages. Ttyl. Who’s they?’
‘Oh you don’t have to go anywhere..lol…,my LP crew,’ Laura said.
‘Think Chief about to walk out,’ the officer told her.
‘Oh sorry. Talk to you later,’ she replied.
The text messages also revealed that the sneaky pair had met on multiple occasions.
‘Damn, wanted to touch your legs,’ Castillo wrote to her.
‘You still can. I’m headed over there now,’ she replied.
Laura told the outlet that although she and Castillo did not have sexual intercourse, they did kiss in a car. She claims that she has ended the affair with him.
The police department told KSAT: ‘A complaint was filed with the Internal Affairs Unit, and this complaint is being investigated.
‘The Department cannot comment on media inquiries that have not resulted in discipline as defined in Chapter 143 of the Local Government Code.’
In the end, it goes to show that even those who are supposed to protect and serve can sometimes fall from grace. Mark Castillo may have thought he could get away with his indiscretions, but as the saying goes, the truth always has a way of coming to light.
