Until You Prove Him Wrong, Everyone Is Travis Kelce’s Best Friend, According to Andy Reid

Thanks to his three Super Bowl victories and countless other record-breaking honors, Travis Kelce has emerged as a star in the NFL. But after he began dating Taylor Swift, possibly the most well-known musician in the world, his notoriety only increased. Head coach Andy Reid, however, isn’t at all disturbed by the increased attention because he is well aware of his star tight end’s ability to manage it.

Reid noted in a sit-down interview with The Athletic’s Dianna Russini and Chase Daniel that the arrangement helps the couple as Kelce manages his growing notoriety off the field of football.

While Swift supports her lover at football games, the three-time Super Bowl champion is Swift’s biggest fan and backing dancer during her concerts; together, they give each other an escape.

Andy Reid talks about Travis Kelce’s charisma

Reid said that it was easy for the star tight end to adjust to a life in the spotlight because he has always been a “outgoing” guy who gained notoriety off the field with his “New Heights” podcast.

It’s also no secret that Kelce, regardless of age, always exudes happiness when he interacts with fans. In a sense, he is the best friend of everybody. But as Reid said, if someone is harmed, Kelce can also be their biggest adversary.

“He comes into a room; he’s gonna light the room up. And everybody’s his best friend until you prove him wrong; everybody’s a friend. He can handle it (the new found attention). It’s not something that he hasn’t been given that he can’t handle.”

Nevertheless, some football fans have criticized the Chiefs for becoming “too Hollywood” in light of their back-to-back Super Bowl victories and their relationship with Swift. But Reid has no issue with the extra publicity and fanfare. He knows how to manage it, having grown up close to Hollywood.
