Over the weekend, Sterling, the daughter of Patrick Mahomes, was spotted on the patio mimicking her dad’s golf swing. On SiriusXM today, the great quarterback for the Chiefs—who is well-known for his passion for golf and his involvement in events like the American Century Championship—spoke about how his kids are growing more and more interested in the game.

Mother Bronze and daughter Sterling have started to play with golf balls, according to Mahomes during the interview. Although his wife, Brittany, is not a golf enthusiast, this new pastime has brought the game into the family dynamic.
Patrick disclosed that he had once “threatened” to take their children out for a day of golf in an attempt to mock his wife about this. Brittany was surprised by how much she enjoyed this joke. She didn’t act irritated or reluctant, but rather begged him to comply, stating, “Please do!” maybe excited for some alone time.
Mahomes has the best backyard par-3 layout because his passion for the game has reached new heights. It does, however, come with the difficult duty of gathering every golf ball after practice.

He’s cleverly turned his kids’ golf ball cleanup routine into an enjoyable pastime for Sterling and Bronze, instead of viewing it as a chore. He disclosed that he had organized it like an Easter egg hunt, challenging his kids to find and collect as many golf balls as they can.
Mahomes even says, “I’m smart,” as he gives a special incentive to the child who gathers the most balls in order to up the ante in the game. Being a father has made me wiser.
This makes the cleanup a wonderful opportunity for his kids to spend quality time together in addition to making the work joyful for them.
