The saga began when Kayla Nicole made a Kamala Harris post on her Instagram stories after Brittany Mahomes liked a post of Donald Trump and now, people think she is seemingly taking a swipe at Mahomes, the younger sister of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Even though Kayla never referenced Brittany, fans are having a field day on the Socials.
After Brittany, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick, liked a Donald Trump post on social media, Nicole made her allegiances clear on Friday as she re-posted a photo of a young girl watching Democratic nominee Kamala Harris speak at the DNC.
Nicole did not make any direct references to Trump or her former friend Brittany.
However, Nicole’s Instagram story of Harris certainly struck a different tone than Brittany has in recent days, after observant social media users saw the soon-to-be mother of three liking a Trump post mapping out 16 of his policies to his 26.3million followers.
The post discussed topics ranging from immigration to the economy.
And after Mahomes’ like was made public, she fired back at ‘haters’ with an angry post to her Instagram story.
‘I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,’ she wrote.
‘There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,’ she added.
Notably, a tweet from 2017 in which Brittany appeared unamused with Trump during his presidency has also resurfaced.
Beyond the reaction that she’s gotten online, Brittany’s apparent recent endorsement of Trump’s policies could have real-world ramifications on her friendship with pop star Taylor Swift, who is dating her husband’s teammate and close friend Kelce.
