Kehlani alleges that her ex-husband is always abusive—verbally, emotionally, and physically—and that their daughter Adeya Nomi is suffering as a result of his alleged actions.
According to fresh court documents acquired by TMZ, Kehlani received court-ordered protection from Adeya’s father, Javaughn Young-White, after she claimed he broke through her locked bedroom door back in June.
The singer alleges that when she questioned her ex about a notice she received in the mail suggesting he had applied for public assistance, he became quite irate.
He was residing in her backyard at the time, according to her, and he would spend his days smoking pot, taking magic mushrooms, and stewing in his cramped chamber.
Kehlani says that when Javaughn broke into her room and branded her a “liar” and a “bitch,” accusing her of being the reason their daughter was born and declaring that he was “trapped” and that his life had been “ruined,” things reached a breaking point.
Kehlani Gives Details on Abusive Ex
According to the documents, Kehlani instructed Javaughn to “beat it” that day. When she entered the rear house where he had been residing, she found food, trash, and other debris scattered all over the place.
According to Kehlani, their 5-year-old daughter would spend a lot of time in that area with Javaughn and would return smelling strongly of marijuana.
She claims that Javaughn frequently becomes so high that he utters fervent religious statements and feels that his child is in danger when he is like this.
Kehlani claims she can’t handle any more “chaos and abuse” after five years of dating Javaughn, accusing him of upsetting her mental state and endangering her safety. She claims that after their June altercation, he left and blocked her, disappearing from the map.
According to Kehlani, Javaughn occasionally picks up their daughter from school, and she is unaware of their whereabouts when they are together.
Javaughn is prohibited from contacting her or coming within 100 yards of Kehlani or Adeya, thanks to a temporary restraining order approved by a judge based on sufficient evidence.
